Meet the team
John Curtin Distinguished Professor
Professor Craig Buckley is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor in Physics and Astronomy at Curtin University. He leads the Hydrogen Energy research at Curtin University and is recognised internationally for his work on hydrogen storage materials.
Associate Professor
Mark Paskevicius is in the Department of Physics at Curtin University in Australia. His research is focussed on the storage of renewable energy. He is dedicated to developing new materials for solid-state hydrogen storage to store energy.
Senior Research Fellow
Terry is an inorganic chemist with a particular interest in metal-hydrides for hydrogen storage applications.
Research Fellow
Mauricio has vast experience in R&D applied to oil and gas production. He’s highly skilled in physical chemistry and multiphase flow, laboratory measurement and mathematical modelling, and can effectively tackle technological challenges in flow assurance.
Research Associate
Dr Jacob W. Martin is a materials and combustion scientist with a strong interest in carbon nanomaterials, renewable energy and pollution reduction.
Research Fellow
Dr Pouran N Hudson is a physicist interested in materials and optics. She currently serves as the project manager and researcher at Curtin University. Dr Hudson advances a collaborative research initiative with government and industry partners to pilot hydrogen-fuelled heavy-duty vehicles in Western Australia as part of the Future Energy Exports CRC’s Program 2.
Research Fellow
Peter is an expert in electrochemistry with a particular focus on fuel cells, sensors, and electrochemical synthesis. His work is dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of electrochemical processes in these areas, driving innovation and sustainable solutions.
Research Fellow
Wanli earned his Ph.D. in electrochemistry from Sorbonne University in 2018 and his research focuses on the electrode/electrolyte interface for batteries and ammonia synthesis, as well as the underlying fundamentals.
Technical Officer
Peter is an experienced research, science, technology and design professional with a broad skill set ranging from trade and technical skills to engineering design and drawing, to theoretical, research and abstract thinking skills.
He has a demonstrated history of working in the mining services industry with RFID technology, plastic-injection moulded product design and robot design and development.
Research Fellow
Simon is an expert in electrochemical sensors and electrosynthesis of valuable chemicals in aqueous and non-aqueous systems.
