Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor Sonia Dickinson

Professor Sonia Dickinson-Delaporte (BA BCom (Hons) PhD) is the Dean Learning and Teaching in the Faculty of Business and Law.

She has received national recognition for her leadership in teaching and learning, and is the recipient of an Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.

Vision: “My aim in teaching is to provide a challenging forum for students to develop strategies and ideas beyond the traditional accounting and finance syllabus. I want to explore the boundaries of finance with other business disciplines and demonstrate its operation in an organisational context. I draw not only from academic literature, but from real experience in the workplace and I encourage participants to broaden this through their own contribution.”

Associate Professor Min Teah

Dean, Research

Dr Min Teah’s research focuses on luxury branding, consumer behaviour, brand mimicry, ethical consumption and food marketing. She currently holds Director of Graduate Research position in the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin University. Her supervision experience spans across Honours, Masters and PhD level in various research areas. Dr Teah has also been involved in a number of industry research and consulting projects with domestic and international clients such as Livelynk, Gabriel Chocolate, Simmos Ice Cream, Nash and Lust Pearls, Shiseido, amongst others.

I am currently the Dean, Learning and Teaching for the Faculty of Business and Law and an Associate Professor of International Business and Innovation. As Dean, I provide academic leadership for the Faculty’s Learning and Teaching portfolio. I led the design of the exciting new multi-disciplinary Bachelor of Innovation. I am also a Fellow of the Curtin Academy and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
