On Thursday 18 April 2024, The Faculty of Humanities School of Education’s Digital Learning Hub ‘theHub’ formally launched, with a focus on technology used for and in Early Childhood Education.
To celebrate, the event brought together School of Education Academic and Professional staff, Students, Pre-service Teachers, Early Childhood and Primary School Educators and Educational Technology Partners.
Participants had the opportunity to see how Generative AI can be used to enhance learning in Adobe Express and various Microsoft applications, how to bring learning to the front of the class with interactive flat panels, and how coding, robotics, and other digital technologies can enhance pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 students’ learning opportunities by engaging children’s creative control through active learning.
Supported by the Faculty of Humanities Learning Futures Platform led by Professor Darren Bryant, the event showcased the potential of university collaboration with community and industry partners to improve learning and teaching.
