John Curtin Distinguished Professor Kim Scott is one of 8 people named in the latest round of the State Cultural Treasures Awards.
The awards celebrate influential Elders of WA’s artistic community and are presented every six or seven years to capture a new group of original talent.
Professor Scott from the Curtin Faculty of Humanities School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry, has won the 2022 Writing category for his multi award-winning body of work which includes Taboo, True Country, Benang: From the Heart and That Deadman Dance.
