The Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT) is Curtin University’s predecessor, with its 20 years of being a higher education provider in Perth from 1967 to 1987 when it attained university status.

This collection includes historical photographs and audio-visual materials of this period, depicting Institute events, staff, students, the Bentley campus and its construction, and the varied activities of the lively community that laid the foundation for Curtin today.
