A separate stream of CyberSET is being developed for neurodivergent students, addressing the barriers and facilitators of this group following a cyber security pathway. We hope that, with support to explore their strengths, autistic students may feel empowered to enter this field of work.
The neurodivergent stream will go live in 2024 and be evaluated as part of a research project by Curtin University, exploring ways to build confidence and motivation for future employment in autistic adolescents. This means teachers and students who wish to enrol in this stream will also be required to participate in the evaluation and provide their valuable feedback on how we can improve the program for future students.
