LUCAP: Lung Cancer Clinical Quality Data Platform – Community Advisory Group

The project

The Lung Cancer Clinical Quality Data Platform (LUCAP) project seeks to improve the care of people with lung cancer.

Researchers at Curtin are collecting simple clinical data, such as appointment dates, diagnosis and treatment, from hospitals in WA and other states to compare the care against the agreed quality standards across Australia.

They will publish reports showing the different performance across the hospitals, which will serve to drive improvements in the quality of care across the health system. . An important part of the improvement process will be understanding consumer and community needs.

The involvement opportunity

The LUCAP research team are seeking to establish a Consumer Advisory Group (of up to 12 members) to advise and guide the project throughout its planning and implementation to ensure the project prioritises consumer and community needs and desires.
