Our holiday workshops and weekend activities inspire curiosity and build confidence beyond the classroom. From robotics camps to engineering challenges, we offer fun ways to discover where STEM could take you.

Robo Academy (Ages 8 – 13)

Ignite your child’s tech passion with our hands-on robotics holiday workshops. Students learn to build and program robots using LEGO Spike Prime or Micro:bit technology. Led by Curtin’s robotics team in small, supportive groups with options for all skill levels.

Explore STEM – Girls+ in STEM program (Years 6 – 8)

Multi-day school holiday programs for years 6-8 students to discover the exciting world of STEM. These workshops combine hands-on, creative challenges where students explore the world of STEM alongside mentors in a supportive environment. Run by experienced mentors as part of our Girls+ in STEM initiative.

DISCOVER (Years 8 – 9)

A three-day immersion into university science and engineering. Students take part in hands-on workshops, tour cutting-edge facilities, and meet inspiring researchers. This program offers a unique glimpse into real-world STEM applications and future career possibilities.

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) (Ages 13 – 18)

Join the Curtin robotics team to design, build, and compete with your own robot. Starting in spring, students work alongside mentors to prepare for competitions in March and August. Perfect for those interested in engineering, programming, or teamwork.

Indigenous Australian Engineering School (Years 9 – 12)

A week-long residential program showcasing engineering’s impact in communities across Australia. Students experience university life, connect with industry professionals, and explore engineering career paths through site visits and hands-on activities.

Focus on Mining (Years 11 – 12)

Experience WA’s dynamic resources sector through this fully-funded residential camp. Students tour active mine sites, engage in practical workshops, and connect with industry leaders. An incredible opportunity to explore mining careers and study pathways.

GET Network – Girls+ in STEM program (Years 11 – 12)

A ten-session weekend program connecting students with engineering opportunities. Through hands-on projects, industry networking, and study support, participants build confidence and explore university pathways. Includes special events and a graduation celebration.
