Robo Academy

School holiday workshops for children interested in coding and robotics. With beginners and advanced sessions, all students have fun learning how to program small-scale robotics.

Robo Academy workshops run for 1-2 days, 10am to 3pm at the Curtin University Bentley campus. The workshops are recommended for students aged 8-15 years old (age range varies between program types) and have a maximum of 25 participants. Students should choose the appropriate workshop for their level of experience.

Ever wanted to know how to build a robot? Come along to Robo Academy and you’ll learn how to use LEGO Spike Prime or Micro:bit robots from the ground up!

Or perhaps you have some experience with robotics and you want to advance further, not problem. Our mentors will be able to cater for different skill levels, tailoring higher level challenges for more advanced students, while still supporting kids who have never done it before.

Workshops are run by Curtin FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) mentors and students, and all the money raised goes towards the FRC 4788 Team.
