Please join us for a printing performance with Pangrok Sulap at the Curtin Project Research Space to print their work collaboratively for IOTA24 Codes in Parallel.
Hosted by JCG and MCASI in the Project Research Space, Pangrok Sulap will print their 12-metre-long woodcut Sharing Roots, Shining Hope through an interactive performance. This work will be featured in IOTA24 Codes in Parallel, opening 1 August at JCG.
Sharing Roots, Shining Hope delves into the deep narrative of Malaysian workers embarking on a transformative journey to Australia. It captures the essence of their migration experience, illustrating the emotional and physical challenges they face along the way. This performance is a unique opportunity to preview Pangrok Sulap’s work and to participate in its creation. A video of a previous performance can be viewed here.
