All universities in WA are joining forces to promote the importance of respect, equality and inclusion on campus and online through a collaborative Respect at Uni Week.

Our Pronoun Workshop aims to give everyone a starting point on how to use inclusive language to create inclusive practice and foster a sense of belonging for everyone in our work and study places

Real Talk – Consent, Sex and Porn with ECU (Online)

Did your sex-ed leave a lot to be desired?

Sexologists and researchers Giselle Woodley (PhD Candidate at ECU and co-founder of Bloom Ed – a relationships and sexuality education advocacy group) and educator Jordina Quain (Curtin’s Relationships and Sexuality Education Project) discuss concepts, research findings and phenomena relating to consent, pornography, sex and relationships, taking a deep dive into these issues beyond the norms conceived in classrooms, public discourse and wider society.

Challenging and exploring some of the mainstream narratives and messaging of the sex-ed you might have received or seen online, this is intended to be a space for real talk.

Curtin Students Respectful Relationships Workshop

Join us at Curtin University for an engaging event focused on fostering respectful relationships. Learn about communication, boundaries, and healthy interactions.

Content Warning: The content and discussion includes potentially sensitive topics that can be emotionally and intellectually challenging to engage with: Sex, sexual assault, sexual harassment. These topics are discussed to develop awareness and to increase safety.

By attending this session in person, you will be exempt from completing the compulsory online module. Spaces are limited.

Guild BBQ and Respect Feedback Hub

Follow the smell of the quintessential Aussie BBQ to the Guild precinct for a free sausage (vegan and vegetarian options available). You can also grab giveaways and sweets at our student feedback pop-up, and give your thoughts on respect, safety and inclusivity at Curtin.
