Dr Carmel Harrington, an Australian sleep scientist, is fascinated by the amazing power of sleep and has spent more than 2 decades researching the effects of poor or insufficient sleep. She has authored numerous academic papers as well as two bestselling books on sleep – The Sleep Diet and The Complete Guide to a Good Night’s Sleep. Carmel regularly consults with government, industry, and educational organisations in efforts to better combat the effects, not only of occupational fatigue, but the physical and mental health consequences of
insufficient sleep more generally in the community.
