When Curtin Arts and Commerce alumna Joanna Dutosme graduated, she had no idea the incredible journey that lay ahead. 🎓🌠
After graduating from Curtin University in 2022, Joanna launched a consulting career which gave her strong foundations in problem-solving and client relations.
Driven by a desire to create a positive impact in the education sector, Joanna returned to Curtin not as a student, but as an Equity and Access Advisor.
For Joanna, this role is more than just a job, it’s a chance to support students in meaningful ways by connecting them with essential resources, tailored support, and networking opportunities to help them succeed.
Alongside her work at Curtin, Joanna is also Head of Social Media at YOUNG IC – Young Investors Circle and recently launched her side business, Kwento Agency.
Joanna shares the biggest lessons she has learnt since graduating below. 👇
1. 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐲: The ability to adapt to different roles and industries has been crucial to my career progression.
2. 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Building and maintaining relationships is essential. The connections I’ve made have opened doors and provided invaluable support along the way.
3. 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Pursuing what you love brings out the best in your work.
