The greatest challenge of human existence is upon us: the planet is suffering and the consequences for present and future generations are profound. Tackling climate change, waste generation and the loss of biodiversity is the responsibility of every person.

Students have told us they want the skills, knowledge and opportunity to positively effect change for the future of our planet which is why Curtin has launched the Planet Positive Program.

Meet the Planet Positive Student Champions

Planet Positive has been developed in partnership with dedicated Curtin students. Find out why they are so passionate about making equitable education accessible for all in the fight against the climate emergency.

Preserve

Zoe came close to losing everything in the WA Wooroloo bush fires and is now building greater awareness of the climate emergency so that our planet can be preserved for future generations.

Prepare

Krishna witnessed one of his fondest childhood memories swept away by storms, and knows that education will prepare the future workforce to tackle the climate emergency head-on.

Promise

Chase has seen hurricanes devastate their community several times, but hopes that a shared passion for real-world change will inspire many to act, promising a better future for all.

Meet Falak

Falak, a student from India, is studying a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce double degree at Curtin Perth. She is also a Planet Positive Student Champion.

Brittany is a proud young woman of Wiradjuri Descent, living on Whadjuk Noongar Country while studying applied sciences at Curtin University’s Centre for Aboriginal Studies. She is also a Planet Positive Student Champion.
