Art collections are, among other things, a store of treasures worthy of preservation, study, and display.
Co-curated by Duncan McKay, Paul Boyé and assisted by Han Gunn, this exhibition favours small objects from the Curtin University Art Collection and aims to interrogate the concept of treasure as it applies to these artworks and the broader world in which they respond. Crafted from materials made precious by artists, these art objects prompt us to question contemporary notions of wealth, value, and the things that we are willing to do or accept to possess treasures of various kinds.
