Our inaugural exhibition titled ‘Finding your place and your people: Curtin University Library’ tells the story of TL Robertson Library from its beginnings to now.
Since its opening in 1972, TL Robertson Library has stood at the heart of Curtin University. Much has changed during this time, from books to ebooks, card catalogues to online databases, and silent floors to collaborative space. But our purpose remains the same as when we first opened – to ensure Curtin students and staff have access to the resources and assistance they need to excel in their study and research. Today this beating heart of campus provides you with wonderful new spaces for study, conversation and connection to knowledge.
Our exhibition includes archival photos, a timeline of major developments, objects spanning the building’s history and a 70s themed photobooth.
Please visit our exhibition during Library opening hours, and check out this article written by Curtin University Archives, which is a great summary of our building’s history.
