On Saturday, 14 September 2024, Library staff members attended the 2024 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) WA Awards for Excellence. The TL Robertson Library was a finalist in the categories of ‘Social and Community Infrastructure’ and ‘Sustainability’, following a major refurbishment project to transform the building.
The Library is excited to announce that the TL Robertson Library was awarded as winner in the category of ‘Social and Community Infrastructure‘ and will now progress as a finalist in the UDIA National Awards under this same category. This is the Library’s second accolade this year, following our win at the West Australian Institute of Architects Awards in June 2024 for ‘Sustainable Architecture‘ and its commendation for ‘Educational Architecture‘.
The project was led by Curtin University’s Properties, Facilities & Development, with the Library having a large involvement in the development of the final design, and it was a great honour to receive this award.
