Document delivery
The interlibrary loan and document delivery service assists academic staff and post-graduate students access resources required for study and research.
Where a book, a copy of a book chapter, a journal article, conference paper or thesis is needed that is not held within the Library collections, the interlibrary loan and document delivery service may be able to obtain it for you from another library.
The Library’s preference is to supply material electronically, however, this is sometimes not possible for licensing and copyright reasons. Where a hard copy is provided the item will need to be picked up from TL Robertson Library.
You may be able to borrow desired items in person at other Western Australian university libraries through the WA Reciprocal Borrowing Scheme. Please investigate this option before placing a document delivery request. Alternatively, you may recommend we purchase an item.
For document delivery requests from staff and students at Curtin’s Dubai, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore campuses or at Curtin partner organisations please contact your local library.
We endeavour to fulfil all document delivery requests as quickly as possible. Many requests are completed in a few days, but depending on the material sought the process may take up to two weeks or occasionally longer. Please feel free to contact us via email or phone to check on the progress of your request.
