Borrowing from TAFE libraries
Current Curtin students and staff are entitled to borrow in person from the libraries of the State Training Providers listed below:
- North Metropolitan TAFE
- South Metropolitan TAFE
- North Regional TAFE
- Central Regional TAFE
- South Regional TAFE
You must register in person at the institution library you would like to borrow from. You will need to show your Curtin ID card, proof of enrolment or employment, and provide the library with your personal details and your Curtin email address when you first register.
Registration and borrowing are free of charge. Membership is personal and not transferable. Your borrowing privileges expire on 28 February of the following year. Registration must be renewed each year.
Proof of continued enrolment or employment at Curtin is required to renew your registration.
You may borrow two items at a time from each institution. You must return borrowed items to the library from which you borrowed them. You cannot return them to Curtin Library.
While using another institution’s library, you are bound by their rules and regulations. Penalties and fines for late return of items may be levied. Failure to comply with rules and practices of a host library may result in sanctions at Curtin Library.
If an item is not returned, Curtin Library will eventually be billed for the replacement cost of the item plus an administration cost. Once Curtin has been billed you are required to reimburse to Curtin Library all amounts paid on your behalf even if the item is eventually returned.
