Services for students & staff with disabilities
Services for students and staff with a disability are individually tailored to assist with access to Library materials and equipment. They may include:
- sending items to you at home.
- finding and providing resources in alternative formats.
- access to accessible spaces in the Library, including the Equity Room and specialised equipment within.
Registration for services
To register for our accessibility services and for the Equity and Resting Rooms please contact AccessAbility Services.
When AccessAbility Services have communicated your registration to us you will receive a letter of introduction detailing your access and the option to book for a Library tour.
Borrowing from the Library
When registered with Accessibility Services you may have books and resources sent to your home, instead of borrowing books in-person:
- If you choose to have books and resources sent to your home we’ll let you know when you need to return your items via email.
- You can return borrowed items by mail free of charge.
For students with a vision disability, print material can sometimes be obtained in a format more suitable for your needs. Please contact AccessAbility Services with these requests.
See Borrowing for general borrowing information for staff and students.
