Christine Huggins recently joined the Library as Communications and Engagement Coordinator. We spoke to Christine to learn more about her background, work experience and her new role.
With a background in marketing and communication, I am passionate about effective communication and engagement. My career began in the education sector, working in marketing roles that allowed me to connect with students, staff, and the wider community through storytelling and digital media. Most recently, I was the Marketing Coordinator for a large K-12 College, where I developed and executed marketing strategies to strengthen the College’s presence and engagement.
Joining Curtin University Library as Communications and Engagement Coordinator is an exciting opportunity for me to combine my love of creative storytelling with the dynamic world of academic libraries. My role involves overseeing communication strategies, developing engaging content, and ensuring that the Library’s initiatives, resources, and services are effectively communicated to our students and staff. Libraries play a crucial role in education and research, and I look forward to highlighting their impact and fostering a strong connection between the Library and the University community.
Outside of work, I love adventure and travel and have recently taken up scuba diving! I’m excited to be part of the Curtin University Library team and look forward to contributing to its ongoing success.
