I am sure many of you share my fears for the people of Iran who are experiencing violence, suffering and loss of life as they protest for rights many of us take for granted. I am also aware members of our community may be worried about loved ones caught up in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, or acts of violence elsewhere in the world.
We are here to support you in whatever way we can as you deal with the impact of these events on yourselves and your loved ones.
If you are in need of support, we encourage you to reach out to our counselling services:
- Student Wellbeing Advisory Service: 1800 244 043 or studentwellbeing@curtin.edu.au
- Curtin Psychological and Counselling Service: 08 9266 7850 or counselling@curtin.edu.au
Under existing policies, you are able to request an assessment extension, or withdraw from units should this become necessary. If you feel this may help you please speak to your Unit Coordinator.
Best wishes,
