Award-winning media personality Jenny Seaton has joined Curtin FM — WA’s first community radio station — as its new afternoon show presenter.
Ms Seaton’s first program will air on Monday 9 November from 12 noon to 3.00pm.
Curtin FM Station Manager, Quinn Glasson, said the team at Curtin FM were very excited about Jenny Seaton joining the station.
“Jenny joins Peter Waltham, Peter Newman and Keith Taylor at Curtin FM, giving us one of Perth’s most experienced broadcasting teams,”he said.
“I’m sure our listeners will join me in welcoming her to our team.”
Ms Seaton’s appointment to Curtin FM marks her regular return to Perth radio. A much-loved media identity, she has enjoyed a media career spanning more than 30 years.
“I’m really looking forward to joining the professional, friendly and dedicated on-air team at Curtin FM. The loyalty of the volunteers is invaluable and with the continued support of our listeners, the station will grow from strength to strength”, said Ms Seaton.
Ms Seaton has hosted a wide variety of morning, children’s and magazine styled programs including Postcards WA with Channel Nine, The Today Show, Good Morning Perth and Jenny Seaton Live all with Channel Seven.
She started her career as the Channel Nine weather presenter and was also voted Most Popular Personality at the Logie Awards in 1971, 1976 and 1979.
Curtin FM broadcasts on 100.1FM and is located at Curtin University of Technology’s Bentley Campus.
