Major General John Harley AO will be the keynote speaker at the second annual national security and strategy workshop sponsored by Curtin’s School of Social Sciences and Asian Languages on Friday 29 October.

The one-day workshop will address Afghanistan’s evolving geostrategic environment, the international force’s political and military strategies, and timetables for disengagement.

The workshop is WA’s most prominent strategy and defence event and will provide a platform for open discussion in the lead up to a nation-wide debate on Australia’s future commitments to the Afghan campaign.
