Researchers from Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and the University of Western Australia will showcase an exciting range of innovative commercial technologies at the upcoming Univation 2011.
Running from 2-3 November, at the Burswood Convention Centre, the event will feature more than 20 commercialisation opportunities, as well as international speakers, including David Henderson, Founder and Managing Director of XPV Capital Corporation in Toronto, a world leader in water technology investment.
Univation will also host the 2011 WApp Awards, a competition to identify the best mobile app concept from staff, students and alumni of Western Australian universities. This year’s finalists will go in the running to win prize money and resources valued at over $200,000. The WApp competition has attracted interest from sponsors including Intel, Bankwest and NEXTDC.
Univation is one of Perth’s leading opportunities to see the latest in technology and to enhance relationships between researchers, investors and range of industry across WA’s research-intensive universities.
