Community radio station Curtin FM has welcomed broadcasting veterans Greg Pearce and Glenn Mitchell as the station’s new Breakfast presenters, with a volunteer staff-member taking up the role of Drive presenter.
Former Nine News Perth presenter, Greg Pearce joined former ABC sports broadcaster Glenn Mitchell from Monday 12 January to wake listeners up with cheerful conversation and good music, with the presenters hosting the show on alternate weeks.
Curtin FM volunteer Ray Finn has taken over from Keith Taylor to present the popular Drive program.
Station Manager, Quinn Glasson said he was very pleased with the new appointments and expected Curtin FM listeners to enjoy the new line-up.
“Perth has a wealth of experienced broadcasters and we are very lucky to have Greg and Glenn join the Curtin FM team as our listeners enjoy reminiscing with familiar voices,” Mr Glasson said.
“Ray has previously filled in as presenter of Drive and has received very positive feedback from our listeners, so I am sure he will quickly build a loyal following.
The new presenters join existing well-known Curtin FM hosts Peter Waltham on Mornings and Jenny Seaton on Afternoons.
Curtin FM is Western Australia’s largest community radio station with more than 200,000 listeners weekly. It is based at Curtin University’s Bentley Campus and is a not-for-profit enterprise completely self-funded from community support and corporate sponsorship.
