Marketing professionals from around the world who are looking to advance their skills in the digital age can now enrol in Curtin University’s new Marketing in a Digital World MicroMasters program.
The MicroMasters program, run through Curtin’s School of Marketing, will offer five online courses for completion over 46 weeks and can provide a pathway into the University’s Master of Marketing degree.
MicroMasters programs are delivered on the edX online learning platform founded by Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Professor Jill Downie said the MicroMasters program reflects the next level of innovation in learning.
“This MicroMasters program provides an opportunity for those from different countries, backgrounds and disciplines to receive a credential in marketing from Curtin,” Professor Downie said.
“With the changing education landscape there is a need for people to be able to access online learning modules, and MicroMasters credentials are enabling people to upskill and open pathways into postgraduate studies on a global scale.
“This program allows professionals to advance their careers by learning additional skills about working in the digital world, while studying online.”
Throughout the program, learners will engage in problem solving, analytical thinking and gain experience in areas such as; creating and sustaining a brand, marketing through digital channels, marketing metrics, consumption behaviours across buying contexts, digital brand engagement and digital reputation management.
Entry to the Master of Marketing degree program is subject to Curtin’s entry requirements, which includes completion of an undergraduate degree.
Curtin is the only university in Western Australia in the edX Consortium.
