Last week, 26 Curtin Kalgoorlie Curtin Volunteers! participated in an environmental clean up at the old Kalgoorlie golf course.
The volunteering opportunity was in support of the local regional community and the Kalgoorlie Boulder Urban Landcare Group (KBULG). In total, the group collected a skip load of trash in their efforts to clean up the local environment – a fantastic outcome.
The day concluded with a barbeque where students met the Hon. Kyle Owen McGinn MLC and Ali Kent MLA. All students involved on the day could then enter their names in a lucky draw with three prizes up for grabs. Congratulations to Gitish Shekhar Nayak, one of our lucky draw winners!
Thank you to all our Curtin Volunteers who took part on the day!
“Thanks again Michelle, Lillian and all your wonderful volunteers. The day was amazing and it would not have gone as well if it weren’t for all of you. We are really looking forward to your team helping again for National Tree Planting Day.” – Kim Eckert., CEO of KBULG.
