This year the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) welcomed over 800 international students to our ‘Let’s’ program, a series of events designed to ease their transition to the Faculty, Curtin and life in Western Australia. Sponsored by Bupa Insurance, the program provided opportunities for students to build connections, explore cultural landmarks, and gain practical knowledge to support their university journey.

The ‘Let’s’ series featured tailored experiences such as:
  • Let’s Connect: Workshops addressing culture shock and helping to build connections.
  • Let’s Work: Exploring the Australian employment landscape.
  • Let’s Talk: Cultural immersion activities at locations like Wadjemup (Rottnest Island), Caversham Wildlife Park, and Northam’s Bilya Koort Boodja
  • Let’s Talk Pub Quiz: Fun, social evenings encouraging friendship and connection.
  • Let’s Lunch: Weekly gatherings fostering community and sharing valuable information.

If you’d like to take part in programs like this one, keep an eye out in your emails for opportunities from FBL Student Engagement. In the meantime, follow the Faculty of Business and Law Instagram page (@fblcurtin) to stay in the loop.

We look forward to meeting our newest cohort of international students in 2025!
