What is the Elite Athlete Program (EAP)?
Curtin is proud to support high-performance and emerging athletes through our Elite Athlete Program. This initiative helps student-athletes balance their sports and academic commitments by providing academic support. Each year, we assist over 170 student-athletes, including Olympians and national champions.
Program Benefits

- A contact person for advice on academic planning, course management, and timetabling
- Support and advocacy for Elite Athletes within Curtin University
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for the program, students must be representing Australia or a State/Territory of Australia in a sport competition recognised by one of the following:
- The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS)
- A state institute or academy of sport (e.g. WAIS)
- A relevant national or state sporting association
If your sport isn’t on the list of current key sports, please contact stadiumsports@curtin.edu.au
How to apply for the EAP
- Collect the relevant documentation, including a support letter from your representative or organization and action photos.
- Fill out the 2025 Application Form: 2025 Curtin Elite Athlete Program application form
- Sport and Recreation staff will review your application, and if approved, you will receive a letter of acceptance to the Elite Athlete program.
Interested in the Elite Athlete Grant?
The Elite Athlete Grant helps top athletes balance their sports and studies. Applications for the grant are now open and will close on 12 March 2025. Apply for the grant directly on the Scholarships website. Please note that this is a separate application process.
