This message is primarily for students studying Nursing and Midwifery but any student who uses Building 405. As you will have seen from an earlier message on OASIS News, Building 405 on the Bentley Campus was unfortunately flooded in the early hours of Friday morning, after some infrastructure failed and pipes burst.
We are not sure at this point how long it will take to re-open the building, but it has been made safe and secure, and there is no entry into the building except by authorised personnel. No one was in the building and no one has been injured but it does appear there has been some significant damage.
If you have any queries about assessment results, please contact your Unit Coordinator and copy your Student Services Officer. A help desk will be set up in Curtin Connect, Building 102 (Bentley Campus) from Friday afternoon, 29 June, with clear signage saying ‘Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic students’. The staff on this desk will do their best to answer any queries or assist you with any issues.
We will keep you informed as we have information to share, and it is possible that the building will be re-opened before the start of second semester, but if it still closed, students will be advised of where their classes or lecturers will be located.
We thank you in advance for your patience, and apologise for any inconvenience.
