ClimateLaunchpad is the world’s largest green business ideas competition whose mission is to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change.
The competition is open to any Australian resident with an innovative green idea – whether it’s fully fledged or just sketched on the back of a coaster. As an early stage start-up, SME, researcher, student, public organisation, consultant or anyone else you’re welcome to enter.
Your idea can be an innovation in renewable energy, a sustainable transition in the food chain, a mind shift in urban mobility or any other way to tackle climate change. As long as it’s in the cleantech domain: “a scientific innovation that uses existing technology to do more with fewer resources, and has a commercial driver.”
The competition was founded and initiated by EIT Climate-KIC – the European Union’s major climate innovation initiative – and facilitated across Australia by Climate-KIC Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
Regional and national prizes are available, with the global grand final winner receiving €10,000. Applications open April 16 and close June 10 2019. A boot camp to help develop your business pitch will take place between 19-20 July.
