Curtin has a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) with a focus on Universal Design and a vision to create an accessible and inclusive environment for everyone in our diverse community.
Universal Design is the design and composition of an environment so that it can be accessed, understood and used to the greatest extent possible by all people regardless of their age, size, ability or disability.
The new plan applies the principals of Universal Design to what we do every day as a university, including the way we deliver academic programs, construct and refurbish our buildings, and run our events.
