Curtin University has appointed Ian Callahan as its new Vice-President, Corporate Services.
In his new role Mr Callahan will direct the University’s areas of Finance, IT, Human Resources, Legal and Compliance, Properties and Corporate Risk.
Mr Callahan joins Curtin from Murdoch University where he was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Corporate, responsible for a similar portfolio.
Curtin Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jeanette Hacket, welcomed his appointment.
“Mr Callahan is an experienced and capable senior manager familiar with the complex higher education environment, and is ideally qualified for the role of Vice-President Corporate Services,” Professor Hacket said.
“He will bring significant experience and strategic leadership to the position and I look forward to his contributions as a member of Curtin’s executive management team.”
Prior to joining Murdoch University, Mr Callahan held senior management positions with Endeavour Health Care Limited, Hatch Engineers and Australian Medical Enterprises Ltd and from this experience has developed broad commercial knowledge and skills.
