Curtin University’s Graduate School of Business Master of Business Administration (MBA) program that aims to help business professionals enhance their careers in industry has been awarded European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) Programme Accreditation System (EPAS) accreditation for an additional three years.
The EPAS accreditation is awarded to individual courses that have achieved the right balance between high academic quality and practical relevance for students in a global business environment.
The Curtin Graduate School of Business MBA is an internationally recognised qualification, aimed primarily at middle and senior managers looking to enhance their careers and contribution to their organisation, and gain a broader understanding of the business environment.
Curtin University Faculty of Business and Law Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel de Bussy said he was delighted that the MBA has once again received EPAS accreditation.
“At a time of transformational change and disruption in business education, quality has never been more important. Students are now faced with a variety of choices and seek concrete evidence of program quality before committing,” Professor de Bussy said.
“EPAS accreditation helps ensure the Curtin Business School maintains its strong reputation for industry connectedness and global excellence and we are delighted to have our accreditation extended for a further three years.”
Curtin University MBA Director Associate Professor Stephen McKenna said the accreditation reflects the hard work and commitment of many current and former staff at Curtin University.
“This accreditation ensures that the Curtin Graduate School of Business MBA is performing at a high level for students both in Australia and around the world. It also ensures students will receive international recognition for their qualification,” Associate Professor McKenna said.
The Curtin Graduate School of Business MBA is one of only four MBAs in Australia to hold EPAS accreditation from the EFMD.
