The Centre for Sport and Recreation Research (CSRR) will be officially launched by the Hon John Kobelke, MLA, Minister for Police and Emergency Services; Community Safety; Water Resources; Sport and Recreation at 10.30am at Curtin University of Technology today.

The launch will be held in the Council Chamber in the Chancellory, Building 100, Level 3 at the University’s Bentley Campus.

The Centre is a partnership between the Western Australian Department of Sport and Recreation and Curtin.

The Centre will undertake research into some of the new challenges and opportunities facing sport and recreation in WA. These include responding to diverse agendas on climate change, water, participation by Indigenous people, urban planning, work and balance, rural drift, governance improvement, health reform, technology uptake and social inclusion.
