An online survey by Curtin University of Technology researchers will allow local residents to have their say on what type of electrical appliances they use in their homes as part of a project aimed at reducing greenhouse emissions from Australian buildings.
World renowned Professor of Sustainability, Peter Newman and Dr Sandy Bond, Senior Lecturer in Property Studies at Curtin Business School (CBS), are working on the project, ‘Drivers and barriers to sustainability in residential and commercial buildings’.
Dr Bond said the study would look at ways of increasing sustainability practices to improve building performance and reduce greenhouse emissions.
“The results of the study will be used to find ways of encouraging people to adopt greenhouse friendly products and services,” she said.
Local residents are encouraged to fill out the online survey www.curtinsurvey.official.ws by 20 September.
