The media is reporting that a powerful bomb has been detonated in central Oslo and a shooting has taken place in a popular youth camp near the city. More than 80 people are now believed to have died in the two attacks. This news is deeply distressing, especially for those with family and friends in Norway.
Any students or staff who have loved ones in Norway, or who need support of any kind, are encouraged to contact the University. Support is available this weekend. Students should call the Student Wellbeing Hotline on 1800 244 043 and staff the Curtin Counselling Service out of hours service on 1300 361 008.
Curtin will provide any assistance possible to help those affected by these terrible events.
