The State Government has today announced that, as of 6pm tonight, the mask mandate for the Perth and Peel regions will be eased. This means that masks will no longer need to be worn in indoor public settings, including indoor settings at Curtin.
Mask wearing will still be required, however, in higher risk or vulnerable environments such as hospitals, aged care and disability care settings and on public transport, in taxis and rideshare vehicles.
Updated information on WA’s COVID restrictions is available online.
Students who are visiting the Curtin campus should still continue to observe the usual precautionary measures to help keep the Curtin community safe. This includes maintaining physical distancing and personal hygiene measures, scanning or signing in wherever the SafeWA QR code is displayed, regularly checking the list of COVID exposure sites and following the testing and isolation advice if you have visited one of these sites.
