Interested in doing a co-curricular this semester? Whether it’s in an area of personal interest, relevant to your degree or a step towards your future career, choose to participate in a Curtin Extra approved program!

Curtin Extrais Curtin’sofficial form of recognition for students who have made significant contributions to co-curricular programs.

There are over 90 programs that are Curtin Extra approved across five streams, all of which allow you to improve your employability skills, expand your social and professional networks and make a positive impact on your community.

Better yet, official Curtin Extra recognition is a valuable tool in demonstrating your skills and experiences to potential employers.

If you are eligible for Curtin Extra recognition, you will receive a digital badge that you can instantly share with your networks to showcase your participation and skills to current and future employers. You will also receive the official Curtin Extra Certificate upon graduation.

Get to know the three levels of Curtin Extra recognition

Tier 1

• 20+ hours approved within the participation period
• Reflection activity (optional)

Tier 2

• 35+ hours approved within the participation period*
• Self Awareness module
• Four additional stream modules
• Reflection activity

Tier 3 (reserved for selected programs only)

• 70+ hours of active participation logged within the participation period*
• Program completion
• Reflection activity

*As each program is unique, your program coordinator will advise you if there are other specific requirements you may also need to complete. This may include attending workshops, additional training, delivering presentations and so on.

Available throughout your degree, you can participate in more than one Curtin Extra approved program, taking into account your course load and other commitments. If you are already involved in an approved program, speak to your program coordinator about Curtin Extra recognition.
