Hurry, don’t miss out! Make a meaningful impact in a community while having fun and making new friends.
John Curtin Weekend (JCW) involves Curtin Volunteers!’ largest community projects, and they are now live for registration!
These projects take place in September and October each year. Volunteers work with locals on community identified projects at regional and metropolitan sites across Western Australia.
Riding on the back of a tractor in Merredin and watching the sunset; taking photos with sheep, goats and cows at Possum Valley; meeting horses in Brigadoon – these are just some of the activities previous volunteers experienced last year at JCW.
“The best part about being on a JCW is seeing the faces of the Site Contacts at the end of the trip – knowing that we had made a positive, big or small, in the work that they do. In particular, the volunteers’ smiles as they too experience what being a part of JCW is like,” says Jia Ho, who joined the Chittering site last year.
We are excited to kick off our two-night sites which offer a truly unique and immersive experience to our volunteers through a wide range of activities in regional Western Australia. From Gingin to Nungarin, from environmental projects to assisting at community fairs, create some lifelong memories with new friends in these one-of-a-kind activities. We have 12 new sites currently live, as well as many one-night and day trips over a wide range of activities
Register on the Curtin Volunteers! portal to sign up to these amazing weekend projects!
