We are excited to announce Ultra Base Navigation – the new streamlined navigation system in Blackboard.
This update will bring you a contemporary, user-friendly interface, allowing you to stay updated on your units and easily access learning materials.
The tabs at the top of the screen will be replaced with a new sleek black navigation menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

When is this happening?
The change to Ultra Base Navigation is scheduled for Monday 8 July, to be ready for Semester 2 2024
What is on the navigation menu?
The Navigation Menu, located on the left side, will offer quick access to frequently used features.
- The Institution Page provides links to help resources and serves as a hub for alerts about new Blackboard features or system maintenance.
- The Activity Stream will keep you informed about upcoming events, recent activity, and new content in your Courses (Units).
- The layout of the Courses and Organisations pages simplifies navigation and module discovery. You will be able to search, filter, and mark favourites for easy access.
