National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
From 27 May to 3 June, this year’s theme “Now More Than Ever” is a reminder us all that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will—and must—continue.
Before NRW, National Sorry Day (26 May), remembers and acknowledges the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families and communities, recognised as The Stolen Generations.
This NRW, visit a range of events to learn more about the role you can play towards Reconciliation.
