Curtin University is excited to announce it has joined the expanded University Basketball League (UBL) for the second year of the competition.
The student-only competition, run by UniSport Australia, has proved popular across the country, and will see Curtin, Federation University Australia, RMIT University and The University of Adelaide join La Trobe University, The University of Melbourne, University of the Sunshine Coast, The University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, The University of Western Australia and Victoria University for 2022.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for students to either play for Carnabys Women’s and Men’s teams, or support the squad in off court roles, including coaching support, bench scoring, social media, photography and more.
Every game of the 2022 UBL will be livestreamed, with the games played mid-week on campus enabling students to support their university and reduce clashes with other basketball programs.
The development of the league is also being recognised internationally, with emerging opportunities for teams within the Asian rim.
The 2022 UBL will tip off on 22 March, with eight weeks of home and away games across the country, culminating in two weeks of finals at the end of May.
