Curtin University is inviting undergraduate Humanities students to participate in an international study tour to Mumbai, India.
This program takes place from 30 January to 24 February 2023.
The study tour, supported by the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan (NCP), includes:
- A four-week academic study program that focuses on themes related to the social, cultural, political and environmental context in India. The first week will be spent on campus in Australia, followed by two weeks on campus in Mumbai with Curtin’s organising partner, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). The program’s final week will be spent back in Australia, where we will debrief on time in India and prepare for submission of the final assessment.
- Integrated on-site visits to participating Mumbai-based NGOs, where you will learn about the organisation and have the opportunity to gather information for your project assessment task.
- Cultural activities, including Hindi language classes, and learning experiences in Mumbai that will contribute to your work on a project relevant to your major field of study.
- An opportunity to work cross-institutionally with other students from our NCP Australian partner university, RMIT
