Did you know that students have been a vital part of the development and launch of Curtin’s new unit and teaching survey?
From the review process of our old survey through to consultation and testing, students have been part of each step of the process to help ensure that our new survey tool reflected the needs and expectations of students and staff.
With the collaborative effort of more than 600 students and teachers, we were able to understand what factors of the formal learning experience were most important and through consultation, pilot studies, feedback and user testing we were able to refine and validate the questionnaire and evaluation process.
Riad Hasan, a PhD student in Civil Engineering, took part in the feedback process which asked for students’ ideas on what we should name our new unit and teaching survey tool. He came up with ‘Insight’. After positive validation from a number of students, ‘Insight’ was chosen. Riad won a $100 student Guild gift card for suggesting the winning name. Congratulations Riad!
Insight is now open for student feedback and you could also be a lucky winner of up to $1000 if you take part. It is confidential and will only take a few minutes of your time.
