Did you know that inattention is now one of the leading behavioural causes of death and serious injury on our roads?

A 2018 RAC survey found 80 percent of WA motorists use their phone behind the wheel, despite 90 percent admitting it was dangerous to do so.

A number of recent incidents and near-misses on campus have involved vehicle-pedestrian collisions. Many of these incidents have occurred at designated zebra crossings.

In order to keep our campus community safe, please ensure that you:

  • Adhere to the 30km/hr speed limit on campus roads
  • Adhere to the 10km/hr speed limit in campus carparks
  • Remain alert and give way to pedestrians

Take a look at the RAC WA Drive in the moment toolkit to make sure you aren’t distracted while driving and see us all get home safely.
