Nervous about submitting your assignments? Try Studiosity or Grammarly to get that extra confidence you need!
If you worry about grammar or the general structure of your assignments, you’re not alone. Thankfully, there’s plenty of writing help available for Curtin students, plus a little extra assistance for first year students who are still learning the ropes.
Grammarly – support for all students
Curtin students can sign up for the premium version of Grammarly for free. The AI program checks your spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and can help make your writing more understandable.
All Curtin students can access Grammarly via the Students tab in Blackboard, under Library resources.
I use Grammarly at least once a week! It’s not only useful for essays, reflections and other academic assignments, but it is also immensely helpful when drafting formal pieces such as emails.
Studiosity – extra support for first year students
Studiosity is an online resource that gives students confidential and constructive feedback. You can get feedback from a qualified tutor who will provide you with one-to-one help with questions and assignments relating to maths, English, statistics, referencing, essays and much more.
You can find Studiosity in the Help area of each of your units through Blackboard.
When I was in my first year of uni, I used Studiosity for every single assignment. I truly believe if it were not for Studiosity, I would have had much lower scores on my assessments. Hence, I highly recommend that you take advantage of Studiosity.
