For 62 seconds on Thursday 20 April, a total solar eclipse will be visible in Exmouth. This is where the sun will be covered by the moon’s silhouette, producing a vivid solar crescent.
The Eclipse will occur between 9.34am – 2.59pm with the total solar eclipse occurring at approximately 11.27am.
If you have access to the Engineering Pavillion, watch it live on screen between these times. Alternatively, you can access the livestream on your personal devices through the Time and Date website.
The last solar eclipse viewable from land was on 20 June 1974. Although a solar eclipse occurs approximately every 18 months, it is usually only visible somewhere at sea.
