Curtin is delighted to welcome both new and returning students for Semester 2 at our WA campuses.
We are proud of our large and diverse Curtin community and we work hard to ensure it is an inclusive and welcoming environment.
As we start a new semester, it is important to remember Curtin’s codes of conduct for both staff and students, our commitment to freedom of speech and our core values of respect and integrity.
While Curtin upholds the rights to peaceful protest and freedom of speech, these are not absolute. They do not extend to any actions or behaviours that infringe on others’ rights to participate fully in University life or pose a risk to the safety and wellbeing of other staff or students. Statutes 3 and 10 of our Act can be found on the Curtin Policies website.
Everyone in the Curtin community can do their part to ensure the campus is a safe and welcoming place, by treating one another with kindness and respect and by being mindful of how our words and actions may impact others.
We wish all our Curtin community a safe, happy and enjoyable start to Semester 2.
